A hearing will be held in Virginia on February 2 regarding the Virginia State Social Studies standards. Please write a message supporting the “Collaborative Draft Standards” and oppose those issued by the Superintendent of Public Instruction and Governor Youngkin.
In doing so you will join with The Virginia Social Studies Leaders Consortium, Virginia Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, American Historical Association , Virginia Council for the Social Studies, National Council for the Social Studies, and Virginia Geographic Alliance, which have all issued a statement expressing their opposition to the standards developed by the Youngkin administration.
